I joined the sorority spring of 2007 and the past year of my life has changed dramatically. I love these ladies with all of my heart and thank God for each one of them. I can truly see how the Lord has hand picked each girl, who each bring their own uniqueness to our sisterhood. The sorority has helped me to stay not only sane, but true to my beliefs in this crazy scene we call college.  It is so easy to stumble on your spiritual journey during college and these ladies have not only kept me accountable but we have been able to grow together in our walks with the Lord. I have enjoyed countless hugs, jokes, memories, laughs, prayers and even tears with these ladies and I can't think of another organization that I would rather be apart of. I feel it is a privilege to be a sister of Sigma Alpha Omega®.

The reason I love the Alpha chapter is because they are a constant source of happiness for me. I can be lifted up spiritually whether that’s by doing Bible studies or hearing testimonies of sisters and how they change from year to year. That makes me smile to know I’m connected with a group of girls that are all on a spiritual journey together, but are taking different paths.  Also, I love my Alpha girls because we know how to rock t-shirts. If there’s a time and a place, there’s a t-shirt too.  We have got pride for our chapter, and wear the t-shirts on campus to show it. Also, its just good fellowship. We enjoy each others company and have lots of get-togethers because we are small and close knit. I think I can speak for most of us that we enjoy these get-togethers because they involve eating, and that’s just one of the many things we love to do!! We have started using a little slogan that says "individually unique, together complete" and I think that fits us perfect in all types of ways! - Kate Rokes
