I never saw myself joining a sorority, until I met the sisters of Sigma Alpha Omega®. Quickly, I realized the continuous support they brought to each other. I struggled my first semester at Elon and considered transferring, but because of SAO I realized I had a family and a support system at Elon. No matter what the circumstance, I know I can call on any of the sisters to help. I am constantly amazed at the encouragement, love, and desire for growth in Christ and in sisterhood that the women possess. I get so excited about spending time and getting closer with the sisters. Each time we are together, we know laughs will be involved, with our group, it’s undeniable. I am so blessed to be able to lead such an amazing group of women and cannot imagine life without them! - Emily Abbott
Sigma Alpha Omega® is a great part of what helps keep me close to God while trying to keep up with all of my schoolwork. Having Bible study with my sisters is a great way to learn more and create a bond with other people while having a sort of sanctuary from the craziness of everyday life. The bonds created between sisters are stronger than other friendships because of the common love for Christ and the longing to learn more and be closer to Him.
