When I decided to join Sigma Alpha Omega I never expected to become so close to so many Christian women, but most importantly they became my support structure. College is no easy task, our morals and our faith are put to the test every single day with our decisions we make. I served on the Judaical Board for a year and also a semester as Bible Study Chair. I love both positions so much and really started to understand how much I love the sorority and it made me question how can I make the sorority even better? I received a lot of support from the girls to run for president and after some careful thinking, I decided to run, and now look where I am at. I cannot wait to see my sisters again and make them proud! This is my life and I'm surrounded with the best sisters a girl could have!

President, Lambda Chapter "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it." |

When I came to Chico State, I didn't have any Christian friends. I wanted to make some but didn't know where, until my husband's former dorm-mate told me about Sigma Alpha Omega®. I was so excited to hear that there was a Christian sorority on campus. I joined up as soon as I could. Ever since then I have had amazing experiences, and I have encountered many new women. This sorority is a blessing for me and everyone who is a part of it because it allows for us to hang out, help the community, and share our faith. This past year, we lost many girls due to graduation. We are happy for them, but it has made our Chico sorority fairly small. This coming year we are going to work on getting more girls involved as well as focus ourselves more on community service. Since we can't recruit freshmen in the fall, we will have to get our name out to let women know that there is a Christian sorority on campus that is active and an outlet for those who want to share their faith with others and make a difference in the community. It is going to be a new year and we are all excited to see what it will bring. – Britni Wissler
