I have the privilege of being the President of Sigma Alpha Omega's Omicron Chapter at UNCW this year. Being in Sigma Alpha Omega has been nothing short of an amazing experience for me, It has allowed me to strengthen bonds with girls I already knew and form many new friendships as well. These girls have provided me with the accountability that is so desperately needed in college as well as pouring into me and providing opportunities to further my walk with Christ. The girls of the Omicron chapter are so beautiful and unique in every way. Each one provides something to make our chapter whole. We always have a great time together whether it is during socials, retreats, service, or bible studies. I love being in Sigma Alpha Omega because it gives me a chance to be involved not just on UNCW's campus but in the community as well. Being able to reach as many people as possible and to spread God's love is an amazing thing and Sigma Alpha Omega gives me the opportunity to do just that. I can't wait to see what God is going to do in and through our chapter over this next year!

"Sigma Alpha Omega has truly been such a blessing in my life! Being surrounded by so many amazing and godly sisters has totally changed my life and encouraged me so much in my faith. My experience in SAO has been absolutely incredible and something that I will hold close to my heart forever! For the past three years I have had the great opportunity to be the Scholarship Chair for the Omicron Chapter. I have had a great time with my committee inspiring and supporting our sisters to do the best that they can in their academics! Sigma Alpha Omega has given me wonderful opportunities to grow individually and most importantly grow in my love for the Lord alongside amazing and beautiful sisters!"

- Lauren Phillips

“I joined the Omicron chapter of Sigma Alpha Omega in the spring of 2011. I had read about SAO when I was enrolling at UNCW and it was the only sorority I was interested in. I feel so very blessed to be a part of this organization and to be able to call these girls my sisters! My walk with God has been strengthened through these girls and the bonds that we have formed. I really don’t know where I would be without them. Their encouragement and prayers have carried me and many others through some trying times. I am always so excited for the recruitment period and all the new girls that get the opportunity to become sisters of SAO. I cannot wait to see what else God has in store for my sisters and all the sisters to come.”
