I am so excited to be the President of the Rho Chapter at Valdosta State! We have a GREAT group of girls who are devoted to Christ and love to share the Word with our campus. I am truly blessed to have a wonderful support system of girls. We are small, but mighty. This semester we are focusing on growing closer together with each other and closer to our God. We are also trying to spread the word about our wonderful sorority across the campus so we can have a successful Recruitment in the Spring so we can grow our chapter and have more girls to spread God’s love on our campus.

Hello from Rho Chapter of Valdosta State University! We are only a few years old but we have accomplished a lot. This semester we are recruiting girls in a different way than in the past. Recruitment is all semester long! We are encouraging girls all over campus to join us for different activities and events for a better understanding of our sorority. These activities and events include bible studies, fundraisers, movie nights, sleep-over's, picnics, and game nights just to name a few.
We are a Christian Sorority! We have socials and sisterhoods to create an everlasting bond with each other as well as to have fun and be closer with God. We also hope to better our campus and community by participating in several service projects throughout the area. Our service projects include Habitat for Humanity, Ovarian Cancer National Alliance (awareness month is September), Humane Society, and our adopted road on Ashley Street.
We encourage girls to join our sorority to better understand themselves, family, friends, and their life through Christ. We are all looking forward to a semester filled with wonderful, new girls and exciting socials and sisterhoods!

Although the Rho chapter is young, we are planning many
exciting things this year! Instead of recruitment lasting amere few
weeks, we will be extending it to fill the entire Fall semester! By no
means are we a big sorority, but we are avery tight-knit group.
We have many activities planned for this semester that are
sure to not only bring us closer as a sorority, but also to show
prospective sisters and the community what we are all about. Thusfar,
we plan to participate in anything from pool parties and movie nights,
to Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month (our philanthropy!) and car washes.
And most importantly, WE ARE A CHRISTIAN SORORITY! Everyone
of us has an everlasting, meaningful relationship with God that is part
ofoureverydaylives. We do hold bible studies every week, so if you
would like to come, you are more than welcome! (Just be sure to contact one of our sisters about time and location.)Also,we have prayer
nights and worship nights throughout the semester. In the past, we have
even coordinated events with Sherwood Church, the church in Albany that
made the popular movies “Facing the Giants” and “Fireproof”.
I think I can speak for everyone when I say that belonging to
the Rho chapter of Sigma Alpha Omega® is, well, AbSoLuTeLy aWeSoMe! We have a blast together while encouraging each other to be the best we
can be for God.
