I am so excited, and absolutely honored, to serve as the 2010-2011 Theta Chapter President.  I could not think of a better way of spending my senior year than by having the opportunity of holding this leadership position.  I wholeheartedly believe that one of the primary reasons God led me to Georgia College & State University was to be a part of this wonderful sisterhood.  My love for ΣΑΩ increases daily, and I cannot imagine my college experience, or my life, without it.  Our sisterhood has a unique bond that is like no other, and I firmly believe this is due to a unity that is formed only by Christ.  Our vision this year comes from 1 John 4:7 (“Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God…”) and Romans 12:9 (“Love must be sincere…”).  We desire to continuously develop a deep and genuine love for God, our sisterhood, and everyone that we encounter.  Our prayer and goal is that we serve as His light to our campus, as well as to the Milledgeville, GA community.  The Lord has blessed our chapter in ways that we never imagined, and we are anxious to see what He has in store for the 2010-2011 year.

Abby Bryant, 2010-2011 President

Sigma Alpha Omega® is not just a sorority or an organization to me; it's a group of girls who I truly call my sisters!  It's a bond that will never be broken and a sisterhood that will always be very special to me.  My sisters are girls who I know will always be there to encourage, teach, support and keep me accountable no matter the situation.  As I now enter my senior year of college I look back and there are far and few memories that don't include one of these girls.  This is where I have found my roommates and my best friends. SAO is where my heart lies, and it's because it's where so many other sisters’ hearts are as well.  Sigma Alpha Omega® is not just about Bible Studies and fundraisers and service; it's about a group of girls who are going through the same things as me, who aren't afraid to tell me the truth and who truly are my support.  This is why I love my sisters at GCSU, and it's why I love SAO as a whole!

 –Sarah Davis, 2010-2011 Vice President

It is such a blessing to be surrounded by so many beautiful, funny, and creative God-fearing women.  The way that such a diverse group just seems to fit together and support each other is simply astounding.  I learn so much from this group every day, and the stories shared by my sisters never cease to amaze me.  I have loved seeing the sorority from a candidate perspective, a sister perspective, and this year I am so excited to work closely with both of these groups as one of the candidate mentors for our chapter.  I have no doubt that our sisterhood will only go stronger in this coming school year, and I am so proud of my Theta chapter girls and everything we have accomplished together.

 –Brittany Guthrie, 2010-2011 Co-Candidate Mentor

I am SUPER EXCITED about this upcoming year, where I have the privilege of serving my sisters as the Social Chair.  God has brought unity throughout this chapter like never before and I am so thrilled to see what He will do in the coming years.  God has placed so many things on our hearts to service our campus and community.  What I love so much about Sigma Alpha Omega® is the girls who make up this organization.  For the past two years, my sisters have become my best friends, my rock, and my shoulder to lean on when times get tough.  More importantly, my sisters have helped me grow in my relationship with my Heavenly Father.  I am truly thankful for the Theta Chapter and they will never be forgotten!  Isaiah 26:8 --" Yes, Lord. Walking in the way of Your truth.  We wait eagerly for You. For Your name and renown are the desires of our souls."

-Brandi Heath, 2010-2011 Social Chair

Sigma Alpha Omega® is special and somewhat indescribable.  There is a presence, a sense of fellowship that is hard to find anywhere else.  Being a part of this group of Godly women has blessed me with relationships that are characterized by friendship, love, and most importantly Christ.  Sigma Alpha Omega® is a place where I have been encouraged and challenged.  My sisters have been there to push me forward and to redirect my focus from temporal things to things eternal.  They have reminded me of God’s amazing love and the impact it can have if only we allow for Him to work in and through us.  My sisters have taught me the true meaning of Hebrews 12:1 “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.”  Most of all my sisters have taught me to not only relish life, but to live a life full of purpose for the Glory of our God and King! -Casey Cone
