Chapter Fun Facts:
-
This Virginia Chapter was chartered by two National Board Trustees (Sarah Young and Claire McAuliffe), who were founding sisters of Alpha Alpha, the first SAO chapter in Virginia
-
Many of the Founding Sisters were former members of Sigma Phi Lambda Christian Sorority. Because Longwood's campus could not sustain large enough class sizes for SPL, SAO received SPL's blessing to allow these young women to join SAO instead, beginning a positive relationship between the two Christian sororities.
-
Chapter colors are coral, white, and navy blue.
